Provide All Possible Information

Selling a horse from an online ad can be difficult. There're a lot of horses currently for sale and many of them are online. The key to selling yours successfully is to make your ad stand out. Providing a picture, pedigree, video and realistic price are all good ways to help your horse sell.

Listing a horse without a picture is a lot like not listing your horse at all. Ads without pictures generally don't get enough traffic to result in sales. The only thing worse than an ad with no picture is an ad with a bad picture. When you're choosing a picture of your horse to post ask yourself if seeing this picture would motivate you to buy the horse. If the answer to your question is no then go take another picture of your horse. Try to keep your horse picture relatively current to give buyers a realistic idea of what your horse looks like. If you're having problems uploading your picture, contact our support staff. They'll be happy to help you out.

Pedigrees and videos are nice extras to help demonstrate your horse's skills and abilities. No registered horse should be listed on the site without a pedigree. It's worth the time in entering the pedigree to give prospective buyers this valuable information. Video is also a great addition to any listing. When possible try to post a video that shows a few minutes of your horse at his best. These things will help turn the traffic that your listing is generating into prospective buyers.

When pricing your horse, pick a price that's reasonable. Many people list their horse at twice the price that they really expect to get thinking that they'll allow buyers to bargain them down. This is a pretty bad idea. A price that a buyer considers out of their reach will usually cause the buyer to not contact the seller. Without contact there's no possibility for a sale. When creating a listing, set the price of the horse to be the price that you actually want.

Providing as much information about your horse as possible in your ad will put you well on your way to selling your horse successfully online.
